What is coaching?

Coaching is a confidential, interactive process between the client and coach. The coach uses careful questioning to guide and facilitate the client toward their chosen specific goals. Coaching is client led and present-to-future focussed.

The coach will assist the client in creating specific goals in line with the clients values, help the client break down any limiting beliefs and ‘barriers’, create a variety of creative options and encourage the client to take powerful action in order to achieve their goals.

While this is happening the coach helps the client maintain motivation, stay on path and overcome inevitable obstacles.

Coaching’s foundations lie in that the client has the necessary skills and abilities within themselves.

What is coaching not?

Coaching is not counselling, consultancy or mentoring. A coach will not deal with intense emotional issues and will not be heavily present-past focussed. A coach will not provide advice or have all the ‘answers’. You will not be patronised nor judged. You will be listened to.

Who may benefit from Now it’s you coaching?

If you are like so many that have lost track of what you really want, and need to take action then Now it’s you is for you. You may already live a ‘successful life’ but feel something is missing. You will need some degree of motivation for change and improvement. The results of coaching can be higher earnings, weight loss, more confidence, more relaxation, an indestructible positive attitude and more.

Weight loss - If you feel like you want to lose weight we can achieve this together. We will set realistic weight loss goals that can be maintained by you. You may want to do this by improving your diet, joining a gym or simply by walking more. We can create action for this and examine any challenges you are likely to encounter along the way.

Stress – You may feel like you react to situations with a stressful response either mentally or physically. If the consequences of this are becoming detrimental to you then we can create ways in which you would like to react that will maintain your sense of calm and clarity. You may want to understand other people’s point of view better, take your time when making decisions or plan your time more effectively. We can do this together.

Confidence and self esteem – by merely creating goals, breaking down your barriers to success and creating action your confidence will grow. The great achievers in this world in whatever field all have goals and take action. Together we will work on what you really want to achieve, in turn building your feeling of confidence and self esteem.

Finances – If you want more control of your finances or just want to earn more money, we can devise ways for you to do so. We will create your financial targets together, you will decide on what action you feel will improve your finances and the outcome will bring a feeling of empowerment, peace and wealth.

Values – Understanding your true values unlocks what is really important to you. One reason for not achieving what we want can be because it doesn’t truly align with our values eg If you want to improve your finances but you don’t value wealth you may lose motivation. Realigning our values with our goals can ensure the goal is in fact important to you.

Limiting beliefs – Some thoughts and ideas about ourselves are held for many years without questioning them. These beliefs can come from external influences such as family, school and media. The belief may have held a positive intention such as to conform or avoid ridicule. Such beliefs may not be accurate or wanted anymore. We can examine these beliefs and then aim to create new, accurate and positive ones for you that will help you move forward.

Creating a new positive attitude – You may feel you have a negative attitude toward you and the World. This can play a big part in how you behave as you will probably act upon your attitudes. If you want a new positive attitude, we can achieve this by breaking down want you want to achieve, understanding your current attitudes and creating action. You may want to feel like you can achieve whatever you place your attention on or banish any doubt of what you are capable of. Now it’s you can help.

Our coach, Chris Adcock operates nationally. He meets clients either face to face at locations across the midlands and also over the phone for individuals who are located across the country. A mixture of both is possible too.
